Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Observation Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus (Elmhurst, IL). The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with 7:00am–7:30pm shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, ensuring comfort and safety for patients. Requirements include CPR certification and completion of a nursing assistant program or related experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with basic care tasks under RN direction to ensure comfort and safety.
• Perform patient care procedures per established procedures as needed.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126

Full-Time: 36/hr per week

Hours: 7:00am-7:30pm with every 3rd weekend and holiday track

What you will do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

Education: N/A

Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
