Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Central Resource Team/Float Pool at Edward Hospital in Naperville. This full-time role offers a 36-hour week with a day shift from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm and rotating holidays/weekends.

Compensation ranges hourly based on experience, with benefits and growth opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting RNs, performing standard patient care tasks, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Certification: Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association or BLS).
• Experience: minimum six months of prior patient care experience or completion of nursing assistant training or one nursing clinical rotation.
• Recent hospital PCT experience at least six months.
• Completion of Care Companion Course within six months if required by department.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, performs patient care tasks and procedures to ensure patient comfort, safety and well-being.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Location: Edward Hospital

Job Type: Full Time: 36 hour work week

Hours: Day Shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm (12 hours) Rotating Holidays/Weekends

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

Requirements

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Associates or Basic Life Support
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Recent hospital PCT experience at least 6 months
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
