Job summary

Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO is seeking a PCT CNA/MA/EMT for the night shift. The role involves 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and duties including basic patient care, vital signs, and coordination with RN/LPN staff.

Requirements include Nursing Assistant training, current BLS, and a HS diploma. Eligible for benefits and the hospital’s PSLF program; salary ranges from $20 to $28.87 per hour. Night and weekend differentials apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant or equivalent patient care training program and/or past experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care according to established procedures under the supervision of staff RN/LPN, including hygiene, nutrition, I&O and vital sign monitoring.
• Observes patient condition and reports immediately any abnormal symptoms or unusual occurrences.
• Performs specialized skills after additional training and competency verification.
• Maintains adequate supplies and participates in upkeep and stocking of unit and patient care areas.
• Sets up and maintains equipment properly as directed.
• Provides safe, efficient environment for patients and families.
• Assists patients, visitors, and families, and either meets requests or communicates requests to appropriate staff member
• Assists care providers as appropriate.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Assists with obtaining accurate heights and weights as directed.
• Assists with implementing and monitoring fall prevention precautions.

Valley View's Acute Care NIGHT shift team is looking for a PCT CNA/MA/EMT to join our team!

This is a Night Shift position working 3 12 hour shifts a week - rotating weekends!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Completion of Nursing Assistant or equivalent patient care training program and/or past experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association

SALARY RANGE

• $20.00to$28.87/hour (PCT)
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
• $2.25/hour evening shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 3:00pm-11:30pm.
• $4.00/hour night shift differential when working a minimum of 4 consecutive hours between 11:00pm - 7:30am.
• $2.25/hour weekend differential when working 5 or more continuous hours between 7pm on Friday and 7am on Monday.
