MainStreet Family Care Milledgeville, GA is seeking a Laboratory General Supervisor to lead high-complexity PCR testing and related laboratory activities. You will ensure accurate results, maintain CLIA compliance, and supervise day-to-day test performance with a focus on quality and patient care.

The role requires clinical lab experience with molecular or PCR testing, a CLIA-compliant degree or certification, and teamwork to support providers and lab techs in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification, or a bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science that is compliant with CLIA standards.
• Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or PCR-based testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing in accordance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens.
• Accurately document laboratory results in the electronic medical record.
• Perform quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
• Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed.
• Monitor inventory, reagents, and expiration dates.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing discrepancies or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations.
• Provide supervision for day-to-day test performance.
