Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Must obtain CMA certification within 1 year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned caseload based on patient acuity levels.
• Ensure contact with patients within program timeframes (high/medium/low acuity).
• Coordinate with providers on refills and questions regarding medication.
• Collaborate with care team on referrals, documents, and orders (labs/x-ray).
• Schedule upcoming appointments and obtain necessary medical records.
• Monitor health plan communications and follow up as needed.
