Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. in Jackson, Tennessee, is seeking a PC/IC Specialist to procure raw materials and finished goods for the manufacturing plant. You will ensure material availability to ship orders on time and manage purchasing data in the Compass system.

• Perform cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods, investigate discrepancies before reporting to management.
• Review local supplier pricing and performance and provide feedback for corporate approved suppliers as requested by central purchasing.
• Review inventory stocking levels to support business needs and prevent excess or shortages.

Job Overview

Join Our Team as a PC/IC Specialist! The PC/IC Specialist procures raw materials and finished goods for the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials and finished goods ensuring all material is in place to ship all orders on time and 100% complete.
• Manage part settings, maintain purchase order dates, and monitor expected receipt reports and invoice issues within the Compass system.
• Perform cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods, investigating discrepancies prior to reporting findings to management.
• Review local supplier pricing and performance and provide feedback for corporate approved suppliers concerning performance as requested by central purchasing.
• Review inventory stocking levels to facilitate low inventory turns and levels that directly correlate with business levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with purchasing experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years of purchasing experience.
