Job summary

BlueScope North America is seeking a Production Associate to support our manufacturing lines in Saint Joseph, MO. You will load and unload materials, assist with equipment setups, and help maintain process flow in a safety-minded team environment.

The role emphasizes basic computer skills, following written and oral instructions, and a willingness to participate in continuous improvement. A high school diploma and at least one year in manufacturing are preferred; we offer competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material from machines, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Place products on equipment or work surfaces and supply materials or tools.
• Wrap, stack, and band material or products.
• Build or assemble crates.
• Participate in continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned.

Under direct supervision, the Production Associate assists in the production process by loading and unloading material from machines, conveyors, and mobile equipment; supplying or holding materials or tools; placing material in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting or wrapping; as well as stacking and banding material or products.

• Wraps, stacks, and bands material or products
• Builds or assembles crates
• Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned
