Job summary

BlueScope Buildings is seeking a Manufacturing Process Manager I to oversee plant manufacturing functions with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, efficiency and cost reduction. You will supervise production staff, coach teams, and drive KPI improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process optimization, and collaboration across departments to maintain quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage Compass shipping, scheduling, and delivery.
• Report weekly forecast tons and hours.
• Communicate quality changes, inspections, drawings, root cause and corrective action.
• Understand tolerances and fabrication requirements.
• Create process goals and monitor efficiency.
• Administer inventory control.
• Mentor new hires and employee department transfers.
• Ensure all inspections are complete.
• Maintain employee work schedules in payroll system.
