Job summary

KLA Milpitas is seeking an experienced electronics professional to diagnose and repair PCBA hardware across product lifecycles. You will work with senior engineers to analyze circuits, reverse engineer designs, and develop robust repair strategies.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with systems, software, manufacturing and supply chain teams. Travel for escalations may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in electronics development, sustaining engineering, or board-level sub-system support.
• Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design principles and PCBA troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot defective PCBA using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers and lab equipment.
• Perform board-level failure analysis on analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, collaborating with senior engineers.
• Conduct PCBA design analysis (reverse engineering) to understand circuit intent and failure modes.
• Support ECOs with technical justification and cross-functional coordination.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and repair records.
• Travel for escalations as needed, primarily to Singapore and China.
