Job summary

Gorilla Circuits in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced PCBA Production Manager to oversee SMT and Through-Hole lines, drive efficiency, and maintain strict quality to meet delivery schedules.

You will lead supervisors, engineers, and operators, implement Lean/Six Sigma, and ensure IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and AS9100 compliance while partnering with Supply Chain to secure materials for ongoing production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of supervisory experience in PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in SMT, reflow profiling, wave soldering, SPI, AOI, and X-ray inspection equipment.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications preferred; Lean/Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.
• ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MES experience.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and shift scheduling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage daily PCBA manufacturing operations to meet targets for volume, cost, and schedule.
• Process Optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve cycle times.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and AS9100 compliance.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Equipment & Capacity: Coordinate with maintenance to maximize uptime of SMT placement, reflow ovens, and wave solder equipment.
• NPI Support: Collaborate with engineering during New Product Introduction for smooth ramp to mass production.
• Inventory Control: Work with supply chain to ensure component availability and minimize WIP variances.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce ESD controls and OSHA safety protocols on the factory floor.
• Customer Interface: Meet with customers for build kickoffs and provide tours as needed.
