Job summary

VIRTEX in Plano, TX is seeking a Test Technician to perform electrical, functional, and automated testing of PCBs and cable assemblies in an EMS environment. You will identify defects, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with engineering and production to ensure high-quality, on-time manufacturing.

Responsibilities include operating ICT/ATE/test systems, recording results, and supporting NPI with test process validation and calibration.

Qualifications

• 2 years of test or electronics technician experience in EMS/electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with ICT, ATE, or functional test systems is desirable.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB layouts, and circuit behavior.
• Familiarity with IPC standards, ESD practices, and ISO/AS quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, in-circuit, continuity, environmental, and final tests on PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and completed electronic devices.
• Operate test systems such as ICT, flying probe, ATE, JTAG/boundary scan, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and custom test fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures using schematics, test reports, and diagnostic tools.
• Record test results and corrective actions in MES or data logs.
• Support New Product Introduction and validate test processes, fixtures, and procedures.
