Job summary

VirTex Assembly Services, Inc. in Merrimack, NH seeks a seasoned Test Technician to perform functional, in-circuit, environmental, and final tests on PCB and cable assemblies, and completed devices.

You will operate ICT, ATE, JTAG/boundary scan, and related test equipment to diagnose issues and document results. Qualified candidates have an Associate degree in Electronics and 2–5+ years in EMS/electronics manufacturing, with strong troubleshooting, schematics interpretation, and IPC/ESD

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related field.
• 2–5+ years of test or electronics technician experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with ICT, ATE, or functional test systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB layouts, and circuit behavior.
• Ability to interpret schematics, BOMs, test reports, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with IPC standards, ESD practices, and ISO/AS quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, in-circuit, continuity, environmental, and final tests on PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, and completed electronic devices.
• Operate test systems such as ICT, flying probe, ATE, JTAG/boundary scan, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and custom test fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures at the component and board level using schematics, test reports, and diagnostic tools.
• Execute test procedures, test scripts, and inspection documentation according to customer and internal requirements.
• Record test results, failures, and corrective actions in MES or data logs.
• Work with engineering to support NPI and validate test processes, fixtures, and procedures.
• Perform firmware loads, software configuration, and product calibration as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, reduce retest rates, and prevent recurring failures.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality standards at all times.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment, fixtures, cables, and tools.
