Job summary

Circuit Board Medics, founded in 2010, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive product identification, development, and post-launch support. You will work cross-functionally to ensure the right products reach the market with timely delivery and quality objectives.

You will lead design, testing, and optimization efforts for remanufacturing processes, collaborating with teams to source components, troubleshoot failures, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or another engineering field.
• 3-5 years of work experience in product development, electronics repair, or remanufacturing.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
• Methodical problem solving skills.
• PCB design and prototyping.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Project management skills.
• Desire to serve others and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to self-manage and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify growth opportunities and demand for products within current markets.
• Evaluate opportunities to determine which products to pursue.
• Determine failure modes through PCB troubleshooting and document learnings.
• Create tests to ensure repairs meet quality objectives.
• Source compatible components and coordinate with purchasing for supply chain.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize remanufacturing processes.
• Work with marketing, sales, and customer support to align development with needs.
• Create project plans and track milestones for launches.
