Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer in Los Angeles, CA to lead PCBA process development, qualification, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated medical device environment.

You will drive cross-functional initiatives with R&D, design, and quality to ensure production readiness, implement DFMA guidelines, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians on IPC standards and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 2 years.
• Experience leading NPI programs and complex process validation in regulated environments.
• Expert knowledge of SMT, through-hole, reflow, wave, and selective soldering.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization and sustaining of complex PCBA manufacturing processes.
• Own process qualification/validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) from planning to approval.
• Drive continuous improvement using SPC, CPS and DFMA/ DFA guidelines.
• Act as SME for PCBA processes and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead cross-functional reviews, risk assessments, and supplier management.
