Benchmark Electronics Inc in Rochester, MN is hiring a Test Technician to support debug and test processes for PCB/PCBA manufacturing. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and lean improvements in production, troubleshoot issues, and train operators on tests and procedures.

The role requires a 2-year engineering or technical degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in test, debug, and troubleshooting in PCB/PCBA manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong training ability.
• Ability to train diverse groups and work with leadership on process improvements.
• Proficient reading electrical schematics and use of test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs debug and test assemblies to component level.
• Maintains testers and equipment.
• Troubleshoots operator problems and trains operators.
• Provides training and ongoing support to Test operators.
• Communicates problems to Test Engineer or leader.
• Assists in experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Complies with company security policies.
