Job summary

TT Electronics in Ohio is seeking a CAD Specialist to support the development, review, and release of PCB manufacturing data packages. You will ensure designs meet manufacturability, quality, and cost targets while acting as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.

You will perform DFM reviews using Valor, prepare fabrication drawings and Gerber files, and help drive successful product launches with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–7 years in PCB engineering, PCB fabrication, electronics manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience with PCB fabrication processes, assembly requirements, and DFM methodologies.
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics, Valor DFM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, PCB fabrication docs, and manufacturing specs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release complete PCB manufacturing packages including fabrication drawings, Gerber files, drill files, and stack-up information.
• Coordinate PCB package reviews to ensure data accuracy and manufacturing readiness.
• Perform Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) reviews using Valor and other tools.
• Create panel drawings and optimize layouts for material yield and efficiency.
• Communicate PCB documentation, fabrication details, and technical requirements to customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to implement process improvements and design rule updates.
