Emerald Technologies in Brea, CA is seeking a Conformal Coat Operator I to apply protective coatings to PCBs and electronic assemblies. This entry-level role focuses on learning coating processes, operating equipment safely, and maintaining quality under guided supervision.

You will prepare parts, operate coating equipment, inspect coverage with UV lighting, and document production logs while following safety and IPC guidelines. This position offers growth in a collaborative EMS environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year electronics manufacturing or similar production experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions and process documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with steady manual dexterity for handling small components.
• Basic computer literacy and accurate data-entry skills.
• Familiarity with IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PCBs and assemblies for coating with masking, cleaning, and fixture setup.
• Operate manual spray, dip, and basic coated equipment per procedures.
• Assist material prep by mixing and handling conformal coating products.
• Perform visual inspections under UV to verify coating coverage.
• Maintain production logs and quality records.
• Follow safety, ESD, and chemical-handling protocols.
• Report defects or equipment issues to supervisor.
