Responsibilities

• Read MOS drawings and ECOs and follow work instructions.
• Route and lace cables; attach hardware and seals.
• Replace defective components and wiring.
• Repair units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
• Measure and cut wire/cable to required length and strip insulation.
• Perform wire termination and crimp terminals on wires.
• Solder terminals and plugs as needed.
• Assemble plugs and connectors onto cables.
• Follow safety rules and promote safety in the work areas.
• Work overtime or weekends as scheduled.

What You’ll Do:

• Read MOS drawings and ECO's while also receiving verbal instructions regarding work assignments.
• Route and lace cables; Attach hardware and seals assembly.
• Replace defective components and wiring.
• Repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
• Measure and cut wire, cable, outer jacket on cable, and inner wire on cable to required length.
• Strip insulation off inner wires
• Perform wire termination and crimp terminals on the end of wires both manually and by machine.
• Solder terminals and plugs on the ends of wire.
• Assemble plugs, connectors, and unique parts onto the cable or wire.
• Wears all safety equipment, follow safety rules and supports, and promotes safety in the work areas.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as an extension to a normal workday or on weekends, as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.
