Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare in Georgia is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities in their homes. You will help with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, transportation assistance, and meaningful companionship, while following each client's plan of care and safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has caregiving experience, strong communication skills, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• TB test and valid driver's license are required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
