Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in their daily lives in Buford, GA. You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, mobility, and safety, while upholding client dignity and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and able to follow care plans. CPR/First Aid and a clean background are required, with valid driver's license and transportation to assignments.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• TB test.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients' needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client's plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients' privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
