Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc in Macon, GA is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities and to help maintain comfort, safety, and independence.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, mobility, and provide companionship while following each client's care plan. A valid driver’s license, CPR, and First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, respectful, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and able to follow instructions.
• Committed to client health and safety.
• Physically capable of performing required caregiving duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
