The role involves monitoring performance, handling support requests, and ensuring secure, efficient IT operations across branches.

Responsibilities include hardware/software troubleshooting, inventory management, and deploying remote devices.

Qualifications

• End-user workstation hardware and peripheral devices knowledge.
• Ability to install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot PCs and peripherals.
• Experience with PC software installation and configuration.
• Familiarity with inventory management for IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot workstation hardware.
• Install and test related software on end-user devices.
• Analyze and resolve complex PC problems and perform hardware fixes.
• Respond to calls/emails regarding PC issues and maintain equipment inventory.
• Monitor PC performance and generate performance reports.
• Maintain stock and deploy remote devices and imaging configurations.

Job Summary

The Computer Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting end user workstation hardware and peripheral devices. Keeps inventory of monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, peripheral devices
• Where required, install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software
• Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for end users and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed
• Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding PC and/or hardware problems
• Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment
• Monitor and test PC performance and provide PC performance statistics and reports
• Install and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems
• Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts.
• Install software and image PC hardware as needed
• Maintain, order and setup remote devices such as iPhones, iPads and laptops
• Travel within market and to other markets as needed to include overnight stays
• Maintain applicable service level agreement pertaining to department ticket queue
• Responsible for laptop encryption and security
• Responsible for maintaining proper stock level of standard devices ready for deployment
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance of the Instant Issue Printers
• Responsible for performing health checks in all branches
• Possess a high level of technical skill expertise and ability
• Furthers technical knowledge via self-study and pursue industry standard certifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED Associate’s, Bachelor’s Degree, or Technical Certification in work-related field
