Job summary

Wencor Group in Florida is seeking a PC Assembler II to perform entry-level to semi-skilled electronic assembly in a production setting. You will prepare boards, solder components, and inspect assemblies to ensure quality and adherence to instructions.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, following procedures, and collaborating with teammates to meet production targets while maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Prior assembly experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly-related experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with soldering iron and lead trimming skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions.
• Must be quality conscious and able to meet production and quality standards.

Job description

The PC Assembler II is responsible for entry level to semiskilled electronic assembly functions in a production environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares boards to be assembled by studying work instructions, procedures, blueprint specifications, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Assembles and inspects assemblies under magnification in accordance with standardized processes, procedures and methods.
• Perform assembly steps, with little or no assistance to, PC board assembly & soldering, mechanical assembly & inspection
• Completes adjustments or replacements of component parts.
• Reads and interprets drawings, specifications or written instructions.
• Recognizes subtle functional problems, defective parts or other abnormalities.
• Handles various types of assemblies and must be able to learn to perform any new assembly task.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light Work- This role may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up 10 pounds of force frequently to lift carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Most essential functions are performed while sitting but walking and standing is occasionally required.
• Manual dexterity is required in the assembly or fabrication of parts which may result in the repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Visual acuity is required for visual inspection of boards involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
