Job summary

Gables Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Wiring Assembler in Florida to wire and assemble PC boards following drawings and documentation. The role involves installing switches, lacing wires, soldering, and completing assemblies for testing and inspection.

The successful candidate will read drawings, use a soldering iron proficiently, and work well with others in a manufacturing environment. Basic English is required; HS diploma or equivalent is needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Wiring Assemblers are responsible for wiring and assembling PC boards using the outline and wiring drawings.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Confirm parts detailed on drawing match the shop order and are included in kit provided by the stock room.
• Install switches and connectors on PC boards.
• Lace wires to proper switches and connectors as indicated on established documentation.
• Solder wires in place as required.
• Complete PC board assembly for inspection and testing.
• Assembly of unit/panel using established documentation and using all parts provided in the shop order.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of assembly related experience
• Assembly related experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light Work- This role may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up 10 pounds of force frequently to lift carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Most essential functions are performed while sitting but walking and standing is occasionally required.
• Manual dexterity is required in the assembly or fabrication of parts which may result in the repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Visual acuity is required for visual inspection of boards involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
