Job summary

Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL, is seeking a Per Diem PBX Operator to support the hospital by operating the PBX switchboard, answering and transferring calls, and monitoring alarms. You will assist during code situations and activate the Everbridge emergency notification system as directed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, clear communication, ability to stay calm under pressure, and basic computer skills.

Position Summary

The PBX Operator is responsible for supporting the hospital by operating the PBX switchboard. PBX Operators efficiently answer, screen and transfer all incoming and outgoing calls to appropriate locations. Operators also monitor emergency alarms, provide assistance during code situations and activate the emergency notification system Everbridge when directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred: Post High School vocational/specialized training.

EXPERIENCE

• Six (6) months to (3) three years experience as a PBX Operator preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

• Clear, concise speaking ability; able to handle stressful situations; knowledge of computer use.
