LKQ Corporation is seeking a motivated Technical Support Specialist to assist the PB&E sales team in Akron, OH. You will provide product training, demonstrations, and on-site support to promote growth and retention while upholding health and safety practices.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 5+ years in automotive refinishing or related fields, plus experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 5+ years related experience in automotive, aeronautical, heavy-duty truck, or industrial paint processes.
• Knowledge of PBE products and related processes.
• Willingness to complete paint manufacturers' training in paint products and application.
• Strong color-matching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers at the product level to assist sales growth and retention.
• Perform product demonstrations and line trials for prospective and existing customers.
• In-shop product training for new and existing accounts as required.
• Resolve product failures and identify systemic causes; provide solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Support the installation of new accounts and address color issues with key customers.

Assisting customers with product training and demonstration of new products and processes.Essential Job DutiesEnsure that proper use of Health, Safety and Equipment practices are adhered to during work hours.Perform product demonstration and line trials to prospective and existing customers.Perform in-shop product training for new and existing accounts as required.Resolution of product failures\\problems. Will identify the systemic cause and provide a system or process solution to eliminate reoccurrence.Support resolution of color issues with key accounts.Support sales and installation of new accounts.Provide technical review of the repair process focused on product-related matters. The objective is to ensure the proper use of the products we sell and to enhance customer output.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED5+ years of related experience in automotive, aeronautical, heavy-duty truck, or industrial paint processes.Knowledge of associated and allied PBE products.Preferred RequirementsSome college coursework desired.5+ years of automotive refinishing experience.Willingness to Complete paint manufacturers' training in paint products and application.Strong color-matching abilities.I car certifications.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
