Job summary

The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board seeks an Agency Payroll Coordinator & Timekeeper to implement payroll policies and manage timekeeping for state employees. Under the Chief Fiscal Officer, you will handle sensitive, confidential duties and support onboarding/offboarding processes.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with the Procurement Officer and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or four years college with courses in business or public administration.
• One year of responsible administrative experience in public or business organization or completion of an agency approved management training program.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Fiscal Officer, serves as the Agency Payroll and SERS Coordinator, implementing policy and handling payroll duties.
• Serves as the Agency timekeeper for master timekeeping functions.
• As a liaison, provides backup support with the Agency Procurement Officer.
• Ensure records are processed in accordance with state regulations and policies.
• Develop positive, cooperative working relationships across agency staff and with public stakeholders.
