Job summary

Southern Company Services in the United States is seeking a Business Support Analyst to assist timekeeping applications. You will support timekeepers, supervisors and managers with time entry guidance for new hires, terminations, transfers, rehires and related policies.

The role provides system issue support, upgrades and regression testing, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail and customer service excellence. Experience with Oracle HCM and labor laws is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Communications, Information Systems or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years work experience in payroll, customer service, and/or timekeeping support.
• Oracle HCM, Payroll, Time and Labor strongly desired
• Experience with interpreting benefit policies related to time entry desired
• Experience with applying Labor laws, including the Fair Labor Standards Act desired
• Experience processing and analyzing union contracts and time records for union employees

Responsibilities

• Partner with other teams within Payroll Services, HR Service Center, and other organizations across the system in order to achieve time sensitive processing deadlines
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of team reports and payroll functions
• Operate in compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines
• Participate, as part of a team, in job rotation/rotating roles
• Provide ACD helpline coverage and ticket management along with process and system support
• Utilize effective communications and networking to maintain a team environment
• Perform other payroll duties as assigned
