Job summary

The California State University Bakersfield campus seeks a Payroll Technician to process a wide range of payroll and personnel transactions and ensure accurate pay for state and auxiliary employees. You will work under supervision and collaborate with the Payroll team to update two key databases (PIMS and ADP) and to reconcile complex datasets.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to two years payroll and personnel experience.
• Ability to learn and use CSU payroll systems and reports.
• Strong confidentiality and compliance with laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of payroll transactions for CSU Bakersfield employees using PIMS and ADP.
• Audit and certify payrolls and ensure timely payment in accordance with CSU policies.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and generate reports for auditing and compliance.
