isolved HCM is seeking a Tax Operations Specialist to support the HCM Tax Department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll tax payments and filings. You will work with tax agencies and clients to maintain compliance and performance.

Based in Charlotte, NC, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and resolve discrepancies, contributing to our focus on reliable payroll tax operations.

Qualifications

• Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication to interface with individuals at various levels.
• Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines under pressure.
• Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Import client tax liability from payroll platforms.
• File and pay client payroll taxes timely and accurately.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Setup and balance all full-service tax clients.
• Maintain client IDs, rates, and deposit frequencies.
• Prepare and file amended tax returns.
• Run payroll tax reports and verify accuracy with government agencies.
• Identify root causes of discrepancies and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate printing/electronic filing of returns for clients.
• Assist with testing software updates.
• Other projects as assigned by VP of Payroll Tax.
