Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation is seeking a Full-Time HR Payroll Tax Intern to support payroll tax tasks. This onsite role is based in Piscataway, NJ, and is expected to last 6–12 months. The pay rate is $25 per hour.

The schedule is Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with four days onsite, and complimentary lunch is provided. Key responsibilities include assisting with federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, reconciling tax liabilities, monitoring multi-state registrations, and

Qualifications

• Fast learner with ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Mandarin Chinese speaker is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of federal, state, and local payroll tax filings.
• Support reconciliation of payroll tax liabilities against payroll registers and general ledger accounts.
• Help monitor multi-state tax registrations, and assist in tracking and applying updates to state/local tax rates, wage bases, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Assist with quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations.
• Help identify and troubleshoot payroll tax discrepancies or notices from tax agencies.
• Any other projects and ad-hoc duties that may be assigned.

GenScript is seeking a Full-Time HR Payroll Tax Intern to support payroll tax tasks.

This role is based onsite in Piscataway, NJ and is expected to last for a duration of 6 - 12 months. The pay-rate is $25 per hour.

The schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with 4 days onsite. We provide complimentary lunch for onsite staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and review of federal, state, and local payroll tax filings
• Support reconciliation of payroll tax liabilities against payroll registers and general ledger accounts
• Help monitor multi-state tax registrations, and assist in tracking and applying updates to state/local tax rates, wage bases, and jurisdictional requirements
