Nova Southeastern University is seeking a payroll tax specialist to manage federal, multi-state, and local payroll tax compliance within a large organization with an in-house payroll system. The role covers tax returns, liability reconciliations, and audits to ensure full regulatory compliance.

The position requires knowledge of tax forms, garnishments, and refined analytical skills, with emphasis on confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of payroll processing and tax reporting requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and file payroll tax returns; remit payments to authorities.
• Reconcile payroll liabilities and adjust journal entries.
• Stay current with federal/state/local tax laws and forms.
• Oversee withholding tax function to ensure timely filings.
• Review payroll records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Process garnishments and levies in compliance with laws.
• Assist with internal/external audits related to taxes.
• Develop payroll policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
