The Addison Group is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist in Reston, VA to manage payroll tax accounts across multiple jurisdictions and entities. This hybrid role requires coordinating with tax authorities and ensuring accurate entity naming and POC details.

You will verify tax jurisdictions, update mailing addresses, and open/close entities as needed while handling year-end reconciliations and audits where applicable. Strong accuracy and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience verifying payroll tax jurisdictions and ensuring correct entity names.
• Experience updating tax jurisdiction mailing addresses.
• Experience verifying POC for all tax jurisdictions.
• Experience opening and closing tax jurisdictions as needed.
• Understanding employee locations, transfers and multiple legal entities.

Responsibilities

• Register and manage approximately 500 payroll tax accounts across jurisdictions and entities.
• Verify payroll tax jurisdictions to ensure correct entity names.
• Update tax jurisdictions with correct mailing addresses.
• Verify POC for all tax jurisdictions.
• Open and close tax jurisdictions as needed.
• Liaise with tax authorities to resolve payroll tax issues.
• Research and resolve payroll tax errors and penalties.
• Conduct payroll tax audits for withholdings and deductions.
