  • Experience with automated timekeeping and payroll processes.
  • Knowledge of DCPS and DFAS payroll policies.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and laws.
  • Familiarity with time and attendance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a payroll liaison to managers and employees for all payroll functions and applications.
  • Provide technical assistance regarding payroll applications and ensuring all time is input correctly into automated systems.
  • Research and reconcile discrepancies that appear in reports generated by time and attendance submissions.
  • Analyze automated pay applications ensuring security measures are in place, records are accurately maintained and timekeepers have proper access.
  • Collect, correct and transmit source data to DCPS, adjust time and attendance data, input schedule changes, review records and maintain files.
  • Review and correct time and attendance files submitted by timekeepers.
  • Resolve pay and leave problems in coordination with CPAC and the DFAS payroll office.
  • Update pay and leave records to reflect regulatory changes and law.
  • Examine and verify transactions affecting pay authorizations/deductions for accuracy and compliance.
