Job summary

eBay is seeking a People Technology Analyst to help build and expand the payroll technology ecosystem, partnering across Global Payroll, People Operations, Finance, IT, and external vendors.

The role focuses on Workday integrations, APIs, middleware, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve payroll operations, data quality, and employee experience. Hybrid role with Salt Lake City or Austin presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IS/CS/HR/Business.
• 3–5 years of hands-on HRIS or payroll technology experience.
• 3+ years supporting Workday HCM, including payroll processes and integrations.
• Experience partnering with payroll vendors and tech teams to deliver enhancements.
• Understanding of payroll regulations, SOX, data privacy, and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a product-focused technology collaborator for the payroll ecosystem.
• Help define the payroll technology roadmap balancing priorities and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to deliver scalable integrations.
• Lead initiatives for vendor integrations, API interfaces, time/attendance, data flows.
• Build and maintain APIs, middleware, and Workday integration frameworks.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and data validations to improve accuracy.
• Provide production support and post-production validation.
• Ensure security and governance compliance in integrations.
• Support change management and training for new capabilities.
• Stay informed on Workday advancements and AI trends.
