Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Time and Attendance System Administrator to manage the timekeeping infrastructure and coordinate with a vendor for monitoring and maintenance. The role includes maintaining payroll system software & hardware, and creating custom reports from data outputs to support accurate compensation processing.

You will work with 250+ badge readers and ensure smooth integration with broader HR/payroll workflows, requiring strong SQL, reporting, and communications skills.

Qualifications

• Two or more years technical experience administering automated time and attendance systems and knowledge of wage/hour regulations.
• Strong customer service skills relevant to the job.
• Experience configuring devices for network communication (static IP vs DHCP).
• Experience with relational databases and reporting using SQL tools.
• Experience with SQL Management Studio.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills with multiple deadlines.
• Proficient MS Office skills (Word and Excel).
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administers the time and attendance system and collaborates with vendor for monitoring and maintenance.
• Manages payroll system software and related hardware including 250+ active badge reading devices.
• Creates custom reports and analyzes data output within the system.
• Maintains various functional assignments in the application.
• Ensures system reliability and addresses issues promptly.
