Haynes Inc, an experienced long‑term government contractor, seeks a Payroll Customer Support Analyst (Tier 1) in Charleston, SC. The role requires ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. The position is full-time with a starting salary of $51,000–$55,000 plus benefits.

The Payroll team supports the DoS CGFS and oversees payroll inquiries for American employees and retirees. 40-hour work week with flexible hours and strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of payroll processing or customer service experience.
• Experience performing analysis, critical thinking, and working independently within a team.
• Experience with web-based or client-server technologies and business systems analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line payroll customer phone support, per team schedule.
• Follow Payroll Helpdesk QA program and provide coaching and training feedback.
• Address Payroll Customer Support Desk voicemail at start and during the day.
• Create and update ServiceNow tickets to document issues and resolutions.
• Research DoS sources and draft Knowledge Base articles as needed.
• Escalate Level II issues to the appropriate lead or advocate.
• Maintain 6:00 am–6:00 pm coverage with core hours 9:45 am–2:45 pm.
