The payroll supervisor drives the operational integrity of personnel services for all teammates at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). In this dual-function leadership role, you will leverage technical mastery to oversee complex payroll cycles, comprehensive benefits administration, and multi-level regulatory compliance. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in payroll and/or benefits with proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or Oracle. Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and develop a team effectively. Familiarity with union contracts. Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on payroll experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Applicants accepting a job offer must pass a medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
