The Waldinger Corporation is seeking a full-time Payroll Supervisor to join our HR Operations team in Des Moines, IA. You will oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness, while guiding HR Analysts in payroll functions.

The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is adding a full-time Payroll Supervisor to our HR Operations team! As a Payroll Supervisor, you will oversee and participate in the processing of all office payroll to ensure team members are paid accurately and on time. Provides guidance and support to HR Operations Analysts in carrying out a variety of HR functions. Demonstrates deep knowledge of payroll regulations, proficiency with payroll systems, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and internal client service skills.
Payroll: Oversees and manages the end-to-end payroll processing cycle, including collecting and reviewing team member timekeeping information, calculating wages, bonuses, and deductions.
Internal Client Service: Establishes strong relationships with internal clients, serving as a point of contact for team members regarding payroll inquiries, including salary, deductions, and tax-related matters. Collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Analysts to ensure data accuracy in HR systems and to deliver positive employee experiences across all HR administrative services.
Teamwork: Capable of independently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, with a keen understanding of how missed deadlines can affect team members and internal clients. Supports team members by answering questions and acting as a model by meeting or exceeding expectations.
Reporting: Generates reports and summaries of payroll expenses, taxes, benefits, and deductions for leadership or accounting purposes. Reviews reports and summaries to ensure accuracy.
5-7 years of payroll accounting experience, leadership experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
