Job summary

McKesson is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll Production team. This role manages US payroll populations across applicable frequencies, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.

You will perform end-to-end payroll activities, load and validate data in Workday, analyze results, and resolve complex discrepancies while maintaining strong controls and documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and timely service delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive payroll processing experience.
• Experience across US states with multi-state payroll.
• Experience using Workday Payroll and Workday HCM.
• Strong Excel skills for large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage assigned US payroll populations and frequencies.
• Perform end-to-end payroll activities including input, validation, and reconciliation.
• Prepare, load, and reconcile payroll data using Workday EIBs.
• Analyze results and resolve payroll discrepancies and taxes.
• Execute payroll controls and exception reviews.
• Maintain payroll documentation and audit evidence.
• Support quarter-end, year-end, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with teams and use ServiceNow for inquiries.
