EC Electric is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll for bargaining employees. The role also serves as a customer service liaison for internal employees, assisting with payroll inquiries and document requests.

The position requires handling multiple duties including garnishments, benefits taxation, time and attendance, and reporting. Strong communication, attention to detail, and experience with payroll software are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Union payroll experience is highly preferred.
• Construction payroll/office experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll transactions accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with payroll team for timely updates.
• Reconcile payroll and validate reports before transmission.
• Understand taxation of employer paid benefits.
• Process garnishments and compliance.
• Handle time and attendance using payroll software.
• Process unclaimed property payroll checks.
• Develop ad hoc financial/operational reports.
