Job summary

Elevate Technology Group in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our accounting team onsite. You will lead monthly payroll processing for full-time and part-time staff, ensure timekeeping accuracy, and manage labor distributions in a government contracting environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of payroll experience, Deltek Costpoint and Paycor familiarity, strong Excel skills, and a commitment to compliance with DCAA and multi-state payroll rules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing, timekeeping or related experience.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI Polygraph willingness.
• Hands-on Deltek Costpoint, Time & Expense or Labor modules experience.
• Proficient Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for full-time and part-time staff.
• Review and validate timesheets for compliance and accuracy.
• Manage labor distributions and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain payroll records including onboarding and terminations.
• Calculate COLA and housing allowances for overseas staff.
• Prepare payroll reports for audits and regulatory reviews.
