Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience as a team leader or supervisor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy.
• Highly organized and flexible.
• Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
• Self-motivated with limited supervision.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• HS diploma or GED; associate degree a plus.
• Experience with payroll processing, including MUNIS, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll department in the absence of the Payroll Supervisor.
• Assist in creating quarterly team objectives.
• Serve as a go-to for office inquiries and conflicts.
• Develop procedures to increase efficiency.
• Generate payroll warrants and process manual checks.
• Communicate with community, staff and team members positively.
• Process payroll and attendance weekly.
• Perform clerical duties (filing, typing, copying).
• Prepare reports and memoranda.
• Report new hires to the department of revenue.
• Other duties as assigned.
