Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is primarily remote but located in Arizona, with occasional onsite meetings and critical payroll events throughout the year.

You will ensure accurate and timely payroll for domestic salaried and hourly staff, maintain compliance with payroll tax regulations, reconcile records, and support year-end activities including W-2s.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of payroll processing experience for salaried and hourly employees.
  • Experience with SAP and ADP.
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Experience preparing payroll reports and year-end activities (W-2s).

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for domestic salaried and hourly employees.
  • Reconcile payroll data including earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support payroll changes.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly payroll reports and supporting documentation.
  • Generate quarterly payroll reports including Workers' Compensation and United Way contributions.
  • Assist employees, auditors, payroll leadership, and stakeholders with payroll inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Support year-end payroll processing including W-2 preparation and tax filing.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and increase efficiency.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position is primarily remote but requires candidates to be located in Arizona and available to attend occasional onsite meetings and critical payroll events throughout the year.

The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for domestic salaried and hourly employees, maintaining compliance with payroll tax regulations, reconciling payroll records, and supporting year-end reporting activities.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of payroll processing experience supporting salaried and hourly employees
  • Recent experience with SAP and ADP
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and payroll reconciliation
  • Experience preparing payroll reports and supporting year-end payroll activities (W-2s)
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience supporting audits and payroll compliance activities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and increase operational efficiency.
Compensation:

$27-35hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
