Jewish Home in Rochester, NY is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process weekly payroll, verify timecards, and ensure accurate fund transfers. This role supports year-end tasks, responds to payroll inquiries, and maintains confidentiality across benefits and deductions.

Prior healthcare/non-profit aging services experience is a plus. The position requires an associate degree and at least 3 years in payroll, with strong computer skills and Kronos knowledge.

Qualificações

• Minimum three (3) years related work experience including experience with Payroll systems.
• Strong technical and computer skills with a working knowledge of payroll processing.
• Experience in healthcare or non‑profit aging services desired.

Responsabilidades

• Process weekly payroll for all pay groups.
• Prepare information for electronic transfer of payroll funds.
• Generate manual pay checks to correct payroll errors.
• Coordinate payroll changes for the next week’s payroll.
• Maintain vacation and PTO accruals and audit as necessary.
• Complete wage assignments and garnishments and verifications.
• Create reports from payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Audit payroll to identify changes and discrepancies and report to Director.
• Coordinate year-end payroll tasks and calendar.
• Maintain a step-by-step procedure manual for payroll/timekeeping.
• Assist Directors with payroll problems and punch detail reviews.
• Initiate termination in system and complete steps on checklist.
• Respond to unemployment claims in the system.
• Knowledge of employee benefits, banking, payroll deductions and queries.
• Create system service requests and support learning for new users.
• Provide customer service for human resources and payroll.
