Job summary

The Northern California Conference in Roseville, CA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. You will manage payroll records, handle changes, review timekeeping, and respond to payroll inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with policies and regulations.

Collaborating with Human Resources and Payroll personnel, supervisors, and employees, you will support audits, generate payroll reports, and assist with retirement records,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; equivalent related education or work experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of one year of payroll or related administrative experience preferred.
• Experience working with payroll and human resources information systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now and ADP Workforce Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of employee payroll in accordance with established payroll schedules, policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Process payroll change forms, including new hires, separations, employee status changes, and approved contract, assignment, salary, and position changes.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate payroll information for salaried, hourly, temporary, and on-call employees, including hours worked, leave balances, pay adjustments, and other payroll-related changes.
• Review employee time sheets and timekeeping records for accuracy, completeness, leave usage, and appropriate authorization.
• Assist with retirement file preparation and maintenance, including retirement loan and Defined Contribution Retirement Account records.
