Heritage Building Maintenance is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage biweekly payroll processing through Rippling with precision. The role requires meticulous data entry, bold accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will maintain employee records, handle garnishments and benefits, and collaborate with HR to improve payroll processes while ensuring compliance with federal and state rules. This is a full-time, on-site position in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time through the Rippling platform.
• Review, validate, and reconcile time and attendance reports; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter and maintain employee data across multiple platforms with zero tolerance for error.
• Administer payroll items including garnishments, bonuses, commissions, mileage reimbursements, and other payments or deductions.
• Manage benefits-related payroll functions, ensuring accurate deductions and enrollment data.
• Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets for hours, payments, and compliance documentation.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain payroll records and support HR recordkeeping functions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and all applicable payroll regulations.
• Partner with HR and management to identify and implement process improvements.
