Prince William County Government is seeking a Fiscal Specialist to ensure accurate payroll processing for ~7,000 employees. The role involves daily Mobius data entry, supporting the bi-weekly payroll cycle, and providing reliable fiscal support across HR and IT teams.

This full-time, hourly position offers benefits, paid time off, and a telework-enabled schedule (M-F 8:00–4:30 with some in-office days). Starting pay ranges from $27.63 to $39.70 per hour, with great county benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of payroll experience.
• Associates degree preferred in business, accounting, or related field.
• CPP designation highly regarded; 4+ years payroll experience preferred.
• Exposure to liens, garnishments, and Virginia Retirement System preferred.
• Excel proficiency with formulas, data filters, and basic charts; strong written communication.

Responsabilités

• Enter payroll changes for current cycle (new hires, changes, terminations).
• Support bi-weekly payroll run and daily Mobius entries.
• Reconcile accounts and send files/payments to vendors.
• Answer payroll questions from employees and departments.
