Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Memphis, TN is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. You will process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll, review timekeeping records, and manage changes, deductions, bonuses, and overtime calculations.

You’ll administer garnishments and wage assignments, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, reconcile discrepancies, and generate payroll reports.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing in high-volume environments
• Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements
• Experience with HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll accurately
• Review and audit timekeeping records
• Manage employee payroll changes, deductions, bonuses, and overtime calculations
• Administer garnishments, tax levies, and wage assignments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries
• Generate payroll reports and assist with tax reporting requirements
• Train supervisors and new hires on HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
• Cross-train and provide backup support to the HR team
