Job summary

Behavior Frontiers is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support our payroll department in El Segundo, CA. This full-time role requires detail orientation, speed, and familiarity with HR/Payroll ERP, MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

The incumbent will handle bi-weekly payroll for 15+ states, process corrections, maintain records, and assist with benefits files and audits. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with daily on-demand pay options and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of payroll and time & attendance experience preferred.
• Prior experience with HR/Payroll ERP, time-tracking systems preferred.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be sensitive to deadlines.
• Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate bi-weekly payroll file for both exempt and non-exempt employees across 15+ states for payroll processing.
• Process prior period timesheet corrections, adjustments, late submissions.
• Update payroll file for terminated employees, prior period timesheet corrections, reimbursements, bonuses, etc.
• Cross-check payroll file to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
• Process final paychecks for terminations
• Address stop payments, direct deposit returns and other paycheck questions
• Assist with bi-weekly timesheet reports, 401k file submission and errors
• Perform other payroll, financial or administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain files within the Payroll Department
• Perform weekly time & attendance review process
• Maintain timesheet email inbox and respond timely
• Manage employee timesheet follow-up/correspondence emails
• Ensure timesheets are submitted and processed accurately
• Perform monthly time & attendance audits for open items
• Maintain timesheet late submission/errors tracking log and distribute bi-weekly
• Work with departments to address timesheet issues
• Address employee timesheet questions as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
